Insect Technology
The insect technology waste processing plant is the first biotech innovation in the history of the world to fully recycle every sort of organic waste. Waste is first utilised as a nutrient solution for insect larvae, and the larvae then supply valuable sources of protein for animal breeding and animal feed. As demand for food and feed resources rises due to an increasing world population, are sought to relieve pressures on the environment and current food and feed resources. One alternative of mounting interest is the application of black soldier fly (BSF) larvae to waste streams. In the context of the bio-based economy, BSF larvae convert waste streams into valuable insect biomass and organic fertilizer (frass). BSF larvae have the potential to close loops within agri-food supply chains and increase circularity. With the model suggested by Vyuuham Sustainable India, there will be a pressing change in terms of Carbon reduction, landfill, animal feeds, and fertilizers, which in turn endorse our country into modern and futuristic waste management practices and promote organic agriculture and animal husbandry; placing India as a sustainable and progressive nation on a global platform.
Why Insect Technology?
The plant setup is 100% sustainable with ZERO EMISSIONS.
Insect technology is a right fit as more than 60 percent of India's waste is still organic and can be converted into a different value stream.
Promotes Agri-food supply chains and increase circularity.
